I’ve known how to cook since I was 18 and left for college. I moved straight into an apartment instead of a dorm with a full kitchen and figured out very quickly how to cook in order to keep myself fed on something other than ramen noodles. But when I say I know how to cook, I don’t mean I’m any kind of chef here. I understand the basics and can build on them to make more complex recepies.
When one of my coworkers started telling me about Blue Apron meals, I was a little hesitant. It seemed that it would be super complicated but I was willing to give it a shot since our first week would be free.
We had the following three meals sent to us:
- Steak tacos
- Chicken Drums
Unfortunately I only thought to take pictures of our last meal (each time we sat down to eat I immediately remembered what I should have been doing), but it’s fine because the catfish dinner I took pictures of was easily our favorite.
The ingredients you’ll need:
- Collard Greens
- Brown rice stuff
- Flaked red pepper
Here’s the end result:
Our kitchen smelled like a fancy seafood restaurant while this masterpiece was cooking.
I mean really, unless you just plain ole hate catfish, who could resist that? A little warning, probably don’t want to eat the lemons. Matt thought he was being funny by eating one and immediately spat it out and told me, “I get what you were saying now”. HA.
